Progressive Bloggers of Lahore at Blogger's Training-CIPE Pakistan |
The day kicked off with enthusiastic audience of Lahore from different walks of life with credible mentors like Hammad Siddiqui and Ashraf Chaudry. The audience was full of energy and very eager to learn about blogging and to have a blog of own. It was organized by CIPE Pakistan.
The event mainly focused on effective blogging. With the emerging years, internet users in Pakistan is growing at an accelerating rate with approximately touching 22 million users nationwide. Mr. Hammad Siddiqui on the other hand stressed on the fact that it has become a challenge for the print media to reach the readers today as the newspaper readers are declining down the slope. He mentioned, "Without social media you do not exist today."
While starting or planning to have a blog of your own, you should touch the thematic areas i.e focusing on one issue. It's generally about finding your niche-personal blogging. For example, you can pick up a particular topic and get started with it.One should keep it attractive and interesting enough to grab the readers' attention. It must give a positive insight to the readers which will help readers especially who have an optimistic approach to life.
The training further expanded with "How to Drive Traffic to Blog through Social Media?" which was conducted by Mr. Ashraf Chaudry. We got to use IFTTT to control Twitter and Facebook traffic.
Throughout 6 to 7 hour session, all the progressive bloggers were continuously struggling on their laptops to put up an effective blog of their own following the mentors' instructions.
By the end of the session, each participant had their own blog. Everyone shared their views and suggestions. Later, we promoted our blogs via social media.
This blog was an outcome of such a informative event. Here is the link to my first post, published on the spot. First Post: Let's jump into the pool
It was an event not be missed. Got to learn a great deal. There is a dire need to put up such events which help the youth as well as the adult internet users to thrive in the social media today. A big hats off to CIPE Pakistan and the mentors.
